Our waste-to-energy facility in Meath is the first of its kind on the island of Ireland. We process over 220,000t of residual waste each year and produce electricity to power 22,000 homes annually.

Job description

  • You will ensure the plant operates at capacity amd within licence parameters.
  • You will monitor and control the plant by means of a process computer monitoring the incineration process, flue gas cleaning, steam condensate system and electricity production.
  • You will ensure consumables are accepted as per deliveries expected and required specifications
  • You will ensure waste delivered meets waste acceptance criteria
  • You will ensure safety is maintained at all times
  • You will ensure plant operations remain continuous by executing small corrective and preventative maintenance, lubrication and cleaning of equipment.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an operator in the process industry (metallurgy, mining, basic materials, power plant, petrochemicals, cement or calc industry)
  • Leaving Certificate with technical subjects
  • Experience as a panel operator of a fully automated process plant
